The International Labour Organization (ILO) is pleased to convene a parallel event to the Third Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on the United Nations Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation on the theme of financing social protection . Invited experts will share insights on why the UN Tax Convention process presents a unique opportunity to boost the political will to mobilize additional government revenues to finance social protection. This parallel event will give the opportunity to Member States to exchange on the global, regional and national commitments on social protection financing necessary to expand the fiscal space for social protection.
