As countries navigate the clean-energy transition and rising demand for critical minerals, frameworks such as the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC), the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS), and the UN Secretary-General's Critical Energy Transition Minerals (CETM) Principles provide the foundation for transparent, just and future-ready resource systems. The remarks will emphasize the role of governments, industry, capital allocators, youth, and the International Centres of Excellence on Sustainable Resource Management (ICE-SRMs) in building resource pathways that are environmentally responsible, socially inclusive, and economically resilient.
